Parents as Teachers participated in two important discussions on Capitol Hill on February 4th in Washington D.C. Scott Hippert, President and CEO, Parents as Teachers National Center and Sabrina Jenkins, Parent Educator and former Parents as Teachers program participant from PAT/CHIP of Virginia, testified at a briefing held by the bipartisan U.S. Senate Law Enforcement Caucus.

Parents as Teachers is part of an important discussion on early learning that is the focus of the White House Summit on Early Education that took place on December 10 in Washington, D.C. It's an important opportunity to lift up our work to improve parent-engagement, strengthen families, promote school readiness and prepare all children for school and life success.

A new report from The Annie E. Casey Foundation, “The First Eight Years: Building a Foundation for Lifetime Success,” addresses how states can help children thrive.
